Dave McIlroy to put Keystone Cup action online

A local company will be broadcasting next week's Keystone Cup live over the Internet.
PlayFullScreen, a company founded and run by local businessman Dave McIlroy, will provide the technical know how to get the Western Canadian junior "B" hockey championship streaming online.
"What the technology is meant to be is a live broadcast publishing suite of tools which have been designed to make things really simplistic for a non-technical person. If you have a camera and a computer, you can broadcast," said McIlroy, who's also president of the Tsawwassen Business Association.

McIlroy, who was involved in Internet broadcasts of junior hockey championships last spring, said the landscape is changing significantly in how viewers are able to play media.
"We have been watching a major shift in video streaming and have made significant strides toward adopting new innovations such as HTML5," he said.

The Keystone Cup runs April 15 to 18 in Kamloops.
The webcast can be seen at www.keystonecup.ca on a pay-per-view basis. PlayFullScreen also webcasted the Cyclone Taylor Cup, another junior 'B' event, last weekend.
